Camps & Workshops
Dancers should register for their age camp at time of registration. All camps and workshops are done independently and are drop off only.
Calling all dancing princesses! Whether your favorite princess travels by air on a magic carpet or swims under the sea with her mermaid tail...lives in an enchanted forest or dwells under a spell in a charmed castle, you don’t want to miss this magical dance camp filled with adventure! Bring your favorite princess dolly along with you and, together, travel to meet four V.I.P.s (Very Important Princesses) in their magical castles as you fill your Passport to Royalty with dancing fun! You’ll go on a scavenger hunt for sparkly jewels, dance around underwater treasure chests, and create glittering crafts for both you and your princess dollie! This ballet and tap dance camp is the perfect passport offering twice the fun for you and your favorite princess dolly friend!

Cue the paparazzi and get ready to shine like a star in Marquee Mix-Up: Movie Magic! Dancers will explore the magic of our fave movie musicals: The Greatest Showman, Newsies, Grease, Mary Poppins, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, while learning musical theater, jazz, and Acro! Your dancing movie stars will create their own sets and props to prepare for their big premiere where they will walk the red carpet. Dancers will also shine on the big screen when they star in their very own mini-movie featuring their magical dance moves!

Workshop A is recommended for ages 4-5 that are new to Acro or currently in PreSchool or the Primary Level Acro. We will be working on flexibility, strength, motor skills, bridges, and rolls. This workshop will also focus on handstands and cartwheels with spotting assistance. **No current skills required for this workshop.** OPDC follows the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus and is an Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio.

Workshop D is recommended for dancers in Acro Levels 5+ with the proper prerequisites listed below. We will be working on flexibility, strength, conditioning, acro balancing, bridge exercises, kick overs, limbers, cartwheel variations, handstand variations, headstand variations, walkovers, round offs, back handsprings, and aerials! **Dancers in this workshop MUST be able to go down to bridge from standing without a spot, be able to stand up from bridge without a spot, be able to do walkovers properly without a spot and should have a solid one handed cartwheel on both sides.** OPDC follows the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus and is an Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio.

Grab your BFFs, and get ready to mix up your summer with our #dancecampREMIX! You will learn the coolest moves + grooves in this super fun Hip Hop, Jazz, and Acro Camp! At #dancecampREMIX, young dancers will flex their creative muscles as they contribute to the artistic process of producing and starring in their own DANCE music video! In addition to TONS of DANCE MOVES, dancers will participate in fun activities related to style and wardrobe, props, makeup, choreography and, of course, performance! Our dance video stars should dress the part and wear their coolest, fresh + fun fashion as we will be filming swag- tastic shots each day! P.S. Unicorns, Trolls, and Emojis will be involved!! #totesfun #letsdance

Pop on your sunnies and get ready to HULA at the Wowza LUAU-za island party! Dancers will learn Acro moves and tropical jazz and hip hop grooves in this sunny, summery dance camp! It’ll be an aloha dancing adventure as they experience teamwork, tradition and creativity while prepping for this big island beach bash! Hawaiian-inspired tutti-frutti crafts and games will have your dancer partying like a pineapple all the way to the Wowza Luau-za!

Workshop B is recommended for ages 6-9 that are new to Acro or currently in Acro Levels P, 1 & 2. We will be working on flexibility, strength, acro balancing, bridges, rolls, headstands, handstands, and cartwheels! **Dancers in this workshop should be able to attempt a cartwheel and handstand by themselves.** OPDC follows the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus and is an Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio.

Join us for our annual OPDC Intensive! All 3 days are filled with fun but intense classes focusing on technique and dance combinations in multiple genres of dance taught by OPDC staff and guest artists, perfect for the dancer wanting more! This is mandatory for the Teal Team and highly recommended for anyone looking to join our competitive level teams in the future.

We may not talk about Bruno-no-no-no, but fans of Disney’s Encanto will be talking non-stop about this magical, fantastical ballet, tap and creative movement camp! The enchanted tiles of the Casita’s Candescent Courtyard will guide dancers to unlock three glowing doorways that each reveal a dance challenge! Once completed, they’ll be granted entry into the Enchanted Confetti Casita to explore the world of dance where their vivid imaginations will brightly shine! Filled with magical movements, fantastical fun and colorful crafts, this imaginative dance camp is sure to bring glowing reviews for all who experience it!

A very vogue villain has stolen the latest drop of colorful clutches that the fierce fashionistas need for their debut runway show. To recover the clutches, each day dancers must decode ransom notes to reveal clues and tackle creative challenges that harness their inner flair for fashion design (while developing their notoriously fashionable dancing skills, of course). Read the graffiti on the wall: this jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre camp will be all the rage for dancing trendsetters, followers of fashion and all super fans of Cruella, Wednesday and other very vogue villains! It’s sure to be devastatingly chic!

Workshop C is recommended for dancers in Acro Levels 2, 3, & 4. We will be working on flexibility, strength, conditioning, acro balancing, bridge exercises, kick overs, limbers, cartwheel variations (aerial progressions if ready), handstand variations, headstand variations, walkovers, and round offs! **Dancers in this workshop MUST be able to go down to bridge from standing without a spot and should have a solid cartwheel on both sides. Also beneficial to have at least one type of kick over or limber but not required.** OPDC follows the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus and is an Acrobatic Arts Certified Studio.
