Our Tiny Tumble classes, for dancers ages 2-3, focus on developing motor skills and getting our Tiny Dancers prepared to participate in the Acrobatic Arts Pre School Program.

Our Pre School Acro Dance classes, for ages 3-4, follow the Pre School Acrobatic Arts program and progressions to prepare dancers to enter the Acrobatic Arts Acro Dance syllabus program.

All Acro Dance classes above the PreSchool Level follow the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus which requires certification in their teacher program. Those Acro Dance classes are taught by Miss Jenn, an Acrobatic Arts certified teacher and certified Acrobatic Arts Competition Adjudicator. Acrobatic Arts recommends starting at age 5 for this program. For safety of all students and the ability to progress at a faster pace, classes are split by level/abilities not necessarily by age. Acro Dance is different from gymnastics; therefore, a dancer with a gymnastics background should attend a trial class/private placement class. Dancers with previous Acro Dance experience at OPDC will be placed in the appropriate level for them individually. All level placements are decided by Miss Jenn and there are no exceptions. Dancers that pass the highest level in their class may move to the next level class if they pass the level by January. Levels are listed below in the order of advancement.

 

Primary Acro Classes 

(recommended for 5-6 year olds)

 

Acro Level 1 Class 

(recommended for ages 7+. Dancers of ages 6-7 have passed the Primary Acro Dance Level)

Acro Level 2 Class 

(dancer has recommendation to move to Level 2)

​

Acro Level 3 Class 

(dancer has recommendation to move to Level 3)

 

Acro Level 4 Class

(dancer has recommendation to move to Level 4)

Acro Level *5*/6 Class

(dancer has recommendation to move to Level 5 or 6. This class will work both levels individually but caters to Level 5 in group work. Sign up for what's best schedule wise)

Acro Level 5/*6* Class

(dancer has recommendation to move to Level 5 or 6. This class will work both levels individually but caters to Level 6 in group work. Sign up for what's best schedule wise)

​

Acro Level 7+ Class

(dancer has recommendation to move to Level 7 and must have an aerial on at least one side, all walkovers must be performed clean and to Acrobatic Arts standard)
